Licence, privacy and refunds

Plain-language summary. The binding text is the End User Licence Agreement shipped inside each app and shown before first use.

Nothing is on sale yet, so the licence and refund terms below describe the deal on offer once purchases open, not a transaction anyone can make today.

Licence

• The software is licensed, not sold. A purchase grants a perpetual licence to use that major version. Pocket Nerd is licensed per phone; a LedgerKeep licence covers up to three of your own devices.
• Point releases within a major version are included. A new major version is a separate purchase.
• The apps are proprietary. Copying, reselling, or reverse engineering them is not permitted. Third-party components and their notices are listed in each app.
• Your data is yours. Nothing in the licence gives me any right to your entries or your books. They stay in files you control and can move or delete at any time.

Privacy

• The apps have no accounts, collect nothing, and send nothing to me. Device-to-device sync happens on your own network. Pocket Nerd's optional Dropbox sync is end-to-end encrypted and off unless you turn it on.
• This site uses self-hosted analytics (Umami) that sets no cookies, keeps no personal identifiers, and honors Do Not Track. There are no third-party scripts.
• Purchases are not open yet. When they are, they will be handled by Lemon Squeezy (direct) or Google Play, which send me what is needed to deliver your licence: the email address and order details. I keep that record to honor your licence and refunds and for nothing else.
• Support mail stays in my mailbox and is not shared.

Refunds

• Direct purchases from this site: 30 days, money back, on request, no reason required. Write to support@nicheknack.app with your order number.
• Google Play purchases are refunded by Google under the Play Store policy.
