Clip Dr.

Cut, arrange, and record audio with precision

Windows macOS Linux

A multi-track audio editor built for cutting, arranging, recording, and exporting clips. Professional workflows with JKL shuttle control, In/Out point editing, and non-destructive editing with unlimited undo/redo. 100% offline processing.

Why Clip Dr. is Different

Non-Destructive Editing

Every operation creates a new track or snapshot. Your original audio is never modified. Unlimited undo/redo lets you experiment freely and roll back any change.

Professional Controls

JKL shuttle control for forward/reverse/variable speed playback. Five loop modes (Full, Zoom, I/O, Tracks, Clip). In/Out point editing with ripple delete and magnetic snap alignment.

Recording Built-In

Record from microphone or system audio (PipeWire/PulseAudio) with real-time level metering. Flexible track placement options: append, at playhead, or at time zero.

Features

Multi-Track Timeline

Drag-reorder tracks, magnetic snap alignment, per-track color coding, mute, solo, and individual volume controls.

Wide Format Support

Import MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, AAC, and WMA. Export to WAV, MP3, FLAC, or OGG at configurable bitrates.

Clip Operations

Set In/Out points to define regions, then create clips, cut, copy, or paste. Ripple delete closes gaps automatically. Slide remaining tracks left after cuts.

Waveform Display

Full waveform overview with selection window, zoomed waveform view with In/Out markers, scroll-wheel zoom, and follow-playhead mode.

JKL Shuttle Control

Professional forward/reverse/variable speed playback. Five loop modes (Full, Zoom, I/O, Tracks, Clip). Playback speed from 0.5x to 2x.

Recording

Microphone and system audio recording with real-time level metering. Input device selection and flexible track placement options.

Coming Soon

I'm actively developing additional features for Clip Dr., including CPU-only Whisper transcription with word-level timestamps, professional audio cleaning (high-pass/low-pass filters, notch filters, spectral and neural noise reduction), and VAD-based silence detection with visual overlays.

These features will maintain the same offline-first, non-destructive approach that defines all my tools.
